We recently completed the interior design of a condo space for a delightful client, and we'd like to share the process we took to create this beautiful space with you! Brad, the customer with whom we collaborated on this project, had decided to return to the condo he had been renting out. For a fresh start, he wanted the area to be renovated, modern, and clean. He was excited to have a larger cooking area and a home where he could relax and feel at ease. We opted to undergo a whole home renovation, including a new kitchen, flooring, furnishings throughout, and converting one of the existing bedrooms into a walk-in closet, as well as a refurbished bedroom with an ensuite! Let's get started!
First, let's look at our 3D renders and see how they can benefit not just the client, but also the team of tradesmen who put in the effort to create our visual. When we first begin working with a customer, we do our best to gain a thorough grasp of their needs. When we've agreed on a course of action, we'll generate a 3D render for our customers to help them envision our ideas and the space more clearly. We then alter the room till it's absolutely perfect and the client is completely satisfied. We discovered how beneficial it is to have our vision executed in 3D renders because it is an easy way to communicate with the contractors we work with, in this case, Borman Construction. It helps everyone involved to understand and follow the design vision, while also helping avoid costly misunderstandings.
Kitchen
Let's start with the kitchen, which was one of the biggest additions we made. The entirety of the floor was replaced with caramel walnut hardwood creating a warm and inviting landscape throughout. We wanted to increase the amount of storage and counter space due to the previous kitchen lacking in those areas. We reconfigured the cabinetry and added a floating shelf feature along with an additional island. Not only does the island create more storage, but it breaks up the kitchen space from the living space. New quartz countertops were installed for pristine functionality and a clean modern look. Stainless steel appliances throughout were added to this space as the appliances before were mix-matched. On the backsplash, grey hexagon mosaic tile was laid to create a neutral and clean backdrop. To complete the modern appearance we were striving for, black hardware and plumbing fixtures were added to the space.Â

Living and Dining Room
The living room and dining area, including the entire condo itself, got a fresh coat of paint and new furniture. We searched for comfortable, functional, and modern furniture pieces to tie everything together and reach the goal we had discussed in the planning process. We switched up the layout of furniture in the living room, optimizing the existing wall for the TV and floating cabinetry above and underneath for extra storage. We landed on two boucle chairs for the living room and a black trim round coffee table. Added a comfortable rug, along with decor items to finish the living room off. For the dining room, we placed a gorgeous warm wood table along with upholstered chairs and a bench. There was some room to add a small sideboard, bar cart, and large orval mirror to give the illusion of a bigger space. We topped everything off with fun decor pieces and greenery!

Bedroom to Walk-in Closet
We chose to entirely renovate the second bedroom into a dream walk-in closet for this condo. To match the built-ins that were installed for all of the closet storage, the room was repainted white. The space was completed with a centered ottoman and a gorgeous rug that pulled everything together. Decor pieces were sprinkled about, and this is how a bedroom that wasn't being utilized on a regular basis was transformed into something functional and beautiful.

Master Bedroom and Bathroom
Finally, there's the master bedroom and bathroom design. The master bedroom was repainted and a feature wall was added, as well as some picture shelves above the bed. New furniture and decor were introduced throughout, keeping the design concept modern but welcoming. The bedroom was fully turned into a tranquil atmosphere with fresh paint and furnishings. . A new coat of paint was applied, as well as new tile flooring. The acrylic bathtub/shower was removed and replaced with a stunning glass and tile walk-in shower. We replaced the original vanity, which was weighing down the area, with a brand new white floating vanity, which lightened the bathroom significantly.
