Start with the Vanity

The size of your vanity is the biggest factor in determining the right mirror. Here are some general guidelines:

Most vanity mirrors are installed so that the bottom sits approximately 5–10 inches above the countertop (or just above the faucet, if it’s a vessel sink). Ideally, the mirror should be tall enough to comfortably reflect everyone who uses the bathroom while leaving enough space for lighting above if needed.
